OCTOBER 2026 SOURCE BASELINE | CHECKED 24 OCTOBER 2026

Public charging price sample

The lowest network median in this checked DC selection is $0.45/kWh. This October baseline records the published site prices held on 24 October 2026.

This is a small source sample with uneven geographic coverage. It does not estimate a national average or represent how much charging drivers buy. Historical Tesla media reports and unknown prices are excluded.

How the sample is calculated

Only named DC sites with a published standard price enter the sample. For each physical site, we take the median of its distinct recorded standard price bands. We then take the median across those site values. Each site receives the same weight. The result has no weighting for session volume, electricity sold or the hours in each band.

Member rates, parking and session fees are separate from the energy medians. A low energy price can still produce a higher total when those fees apply. A price collected from a network's published geographic tariff is labelled that way in the source register. Source check dates describe retrieval rather than an account-specific app observation.

Edition dates

October is the first measured baseline. A month-on-month comparison requires a later dated snapshot with comparable coverage. No November result or change percentage is available before that data exists. Retain the downloaded data when citing this edition, since the live register can change.
